About Us |
![]()
Originally part of the old Jackson Sheep Ranch, Dry Hollow Ranch is located
in the South East corner of Washington State in Garfield County, on the Columbia
County line. The Ranch sits in the middle of two sections of CRP ground
and has 230 acres of rolling grasslands, hills, and gullies. Many animals
call this quiet area home. We have Mule and White Tail Deer, Pheasants,
Hun Partridge, California Quail, Coyotes, Badgers, and many varieties of
beautiful song birds. Game Farm Pheasant, Chukar, and Bobwhite
Quail are raised and released on the Ranch for additional hunting opportunities.
Upland bird and deer hunters have been staying with us since 1998. We also
raise and hunt German Wirehaired Pointing dogs. One of Dry Hollows'
special features is being remote, yet accessible at the same time.
You will wonder if you stepped back in time to lifes' simpler days. We
are located just 3 miles from the scenic Tucannon River, and
about a 15 minute drive to the Snake River. Both rivers have excellent
fishing opportunities. We are about 20 miles from the Blue
Mountains where there is an abundance of hiking, horseback riding trails, and
8 trout fishing lakes. The Ranch is about a 30 mile drive from the Wenaha
Wilderness. The towns of Pomeroy and Dayton offer old
fashioned shopping with art galleries, antique and gift stores, golf, groceries and cafes. The
recently restored Pataha Flour Mills is a must see tourist attraction in
Pomeroy, as is the historic Dayton Train Depot.
We rent out lodging for “Get-Away” Weekends. The two houses can accommodate 12 singles (some shared rooms) or 5 couples and
7 singles (shared rooms). We also have
kennels and horse corrals for your use while you stay. The Ranch helps
clear tired cobwebs and inspire with its quiet solitude. We
hope to see you soon!
Thank
you for your inquiry.
